Negeri Sembilan Matriculation College

Huh... Finally, I got the chance to go back home after 2 weeks I registered at the Negeri Sembilan Matriculation College. Well, it's been a while since I last surf the internet. Hurm... Many things are going to happen and have happened for the last two weeks.

Culture shock.

Hurm... Not really but boleh larr... Totally different from secondary school. Gotta adapt ASAP.
The most important thing that I have to change about myself is my habit. CANT SLEEP like always. Aiyo... Manyak susah woo... Hehe...

The best thing that I experienced during the last two weeks is about my mentor. One word. Cool. He's cool.

Mr. Syed Abd. Rahim bin Syed Mohd Nor. At first I thought he's old. His name sounds like old. Hehe... But I'm wrong. Totally. From the first day of orientation, he tricked us by thinking that he's one of the fasilitator.
It's like this. Every mentor have to handle Latihan Dalam Kumpulan / LDK from the first day of the orientation. But if they're lazy/busy, they'll pass the work to the fasi. Mr Syed did the same thing. He pass his mentee group to the fasi named Abg Irfan. So, abg Irfan's the one who gotta handle me and my group.

The fasi have a lot of work to do other than that. So, abg Irfan always kutuk2 Mr Syed everytime he enter the LDK. Mr Syed only told abg Irfan what to do and how to do.
Even me myself I felt like Mr Syed 'tak guna' for a while. Hehe...

Okay, everything went okay. But on the third day of the orientation, Mr Syed told abd Irfan to make a treasure hunt for our group. The mission was to search for the last checkpoint which will lead to Mr Syed.

Okay lar... we went all around the college searching and solving checkpoints. Mostly we got to meet the Administration and asked for question to be solved. Abg Irfan follow us everywhere we go bcoz he gotta record the video for Mr Syed.

Finally, after a tiring run/walk, we got the last checkpoint.

It is written like this; "Meja En Syed ada satu almari, dua gambar dan tiga kerusi."

Okay, so we went to search for his place and we found a letter for us.

Everyone including abg Irfan were there to hear what Mr Syed have to say in that letter.

"Abg Irfan adalah mentor anda."

What the ****!!!!

Hahaha.... All of us were very very shocked when we know the truth. So, all this while Mr Syed is not lazy. Mr Syed is always with us. Mr Syed always follow us. Bcoz Mr Syed is Abg Irfan.

For the first 5 seconds, I'm shocked. Then, all of us burst to laugh. Abg Irfan who always kutuk2 Mr Syed is actually Mr Syed himself.

Aiyo... Rase b'salah pulak for talking bad things about him. Hehe... Sorry Mr Syed.

Cool isnt it? Totally different from the other lecturers. Haha...

That was the best experience that I've had during the orientation week. The best.

Happy Mother's Day

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

My wish to my beloved mak!! I LOVE U MOM!! Forever and ever. And not only on Mother's Day. Hehe...
At first, in the morning, there's nothing special happened on Mother's Day to my mom. Okay. Later after she went to work, Abang and Baba started talking about wat to give. Baba suggested the parfume that she liked. Baba noticed it during shopping at the Jusco.
Okay, after I came back from gunting rambut, we, the adik-beradik, went straight to buy a present for mom. And Abang also bought Dewa 19's Republik Cinta!! YEARGH!! *Humming Laskar Cinta...*
Jalan punyer jalan, at last found gak the place. Givenchy's. (Still learning bout parfume... Hehe...) Hurm.. I like the smell. We like too. Then, after negotiating wit our banker, Baba (Not wit the sales girl ok?...) Baba decided to buy it. Hehehe... Went around to smell-and-test time. I like the Polo Black.
Around 10.30 pm, mom came home from her work. We decided to gave the present for her ramai2. She was suprised. And happy too!! She told us, at first she thought that there will be a caeke or something like that when she came back but there's nothing until we came to her and present her the gift. Hehehe...
She happy and really2 happy. Can see it from her face. I'm happy too for mak. Thanks mom!! Without you, I donno what will I be. Thank you so much for everything that you've done to me. Your the best and always will be... I LOVE YOU.

Red Hot Chili Pepper's Stadium Arcadium

The Red Hot Chili Peppers's newest album!! Hahaha...Just bought it at Wangsa Maju. Okay. okay. It's pirate. And I'm wrong. But cant tahan lar... Gotta buy it before going to matrix.

At first, I thought of going to search for any photostate shops that are still opened at midnight. (Ade ker??) Gonna photoostate few documents but suddenly I passed by a kiosk selling all kind pirated CD's. Aisey...
Being a music lover, I gotta singgah sebentar aja. Hehehe... Last2, I bought the Stadium Arcadium.

The Peppers decided to publish their newest album by making it double trouble. There's about 14 songs in each CD so it sums up to 28. Banyak nyer...At least I wont be bored when I'm in matrix.

Thier newest single, Dani California is good. They stay with their own true style in the song. I'm stilll listening to their album right now so I cant comment yet about the other songs. Later maybe. Hey Michelle!! Go and buy one for yourself. It's worth buying lar...

In the nutshell, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS ROCKS!!

*Still hoping that one day the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be making their tour concerts here too. I wish they would... *Sigh!!*

Subject: Letter to Bill Gates from Lim Tat

Dear Mr. Bill Gates,

This letter is from Ahmad from Damansara.

We have bought a computer for our home and we found problems, which I want
to bring to your notice.

After connecting to internet we planned to open e-mail account and
whenever we fill the form in Hotmail in the password column, only *****
appears, but in the rest of the fields whatever we typed appears, but we
face this problem only in password field. We checked with hardware vendor
Sam Ting Long and he said that there is no problem in keyboard. Because of
this we open the e-mail account with password *****. I request you to check
this as we ourselves do not know what the password is.

There is a button 'start' but there is no stop button. Why you have START
button after computer is started anyway? You should put a STOP button. We
request you to check this.

We find there is 'Run' in the menu. After clicking run it shows box asking
where to run. We entered Klang, because we have relatives there who can
catch computer until we come. But the computer replied "Not found"! I
think you must update it with map of Malaysia. Otherwise this RUN command
is no use.

One doubt is that any 're-scooter' available in system? As I find only
're-cycle', but I own a scooter at my home, so I cannot use the re-cycle
function.

Also there is 'Find' button but it is not working properly. My wife lost
the door key and we tried a lot for tracing the key with this 'find', but
unable to trace. Is it a bug??

Also I think the computer is very lazy. If nobody plays with it for five
minutes, screen goes blank and shows small windows logo floating on black
screen. Some Ting Long(the vendor) said don't touch anything, and to
restart and see. It worked, but every time screen goes blank I have to
switch the power on and off, which is taking long time to start. Computer
also forgets what it was doing before it went blank. I think this is a
serious backward step for your product. Please make computers more smarter
and active in future.

Thanks,
Cik Mat
Damansara

p/s: I got it from my teacher, Cikgu Brahym in his fotopages: http://brahym.fotopages.com/
Kinda funny. Wonder if Bill Gates ever read it.

Larian Bersama Bomba 2006

My sixth run. Went there with my Angah. Sadly Atin didnt wanna enter the run bcoz her friend didnt want too. Maybe someday Atin. Maybe someday.
During the run, I met Mama a.k.a Izyan. My schoolmate. She's in the car. Not running. Haha... She's on the way to Sungai Buloh on that day. When she saw me running, she quickly cheered me up. "Go Alan Go!!" Maybe she was suprised bcoz I'm not dat active in running during my schooldays. Hoho...
My PR was at 1:15:xx. Hate to say it but it's the worst for 10km run. Gotta do some real training. And some workout too.

But the sad things is that I'm going to continue my study at Kuala Pilah Matriculation. Maybe I wont get to enter a lot of events due to lack of holiday. Gotta focus in my study.

But one thing for sure is that I'll find a good route there for me to train so that I'll always be fit. Heard that the school is quite sub-urban so maybe there's a good route for me to train. Cant wait to go there. Hehe...

One good news for me is dat on the 21st of July, I'll be going back for my dental appointment. On the next day which is 22nd of July, there will be a run called the Hope Run & Walk 2006. Hehe... It means that I can enter the run lar... Good.Good.

So, from 15th of May, I wont get to blog bcoz I'll be going to Kuala Pilah on that day. Hope there's cybercafe there so that I still can continue to blog. Huhu...

Albert Einstein's Riddle

Are you in the top 2% intelligent people in the world? Solve the riddle and find out. There are no tricks, just pure logic, so good luck and don't give up.

1. In a street there are five houses, painted five different colours.
2. In each house lives a person of different nationality
3. These five homeowners each drink a different kind of beverage, smoke different brand of cigar and keep a different pet.

THE QUESTION: WHO OWNS THE FISH?

HINTS
1. The Brit lives in a red house.
2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
3. The Dane drinks tea.
4. The Green house is on the left of the White house.
5. The owner of the Green house drinks coffee.
6. The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
7. The owner of the Yellow house smokes Dunhill.
8. The man living in the centre house drinks milk.
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
12. The man who smokes Blue Master drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Prince.
14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
15. The man who smokes Blends has a neighbour who drinks water.

ALBERT EINSTEIN WROTE THIS RIDDLE EARLY DURING THE 19th CENTURY. HE SAID THAT 98% OF THE WORLD POPULATION WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SOLVE IT.

I'm still trying to solve it. How about you? Care to give it a try?

Be an Organ Donor today!!

Click the logo to go to the Organ Donation Malaysia website.

Be the Malaysian Organ Donor for the benefit of all of us.

I've signed up last week at the National Transplan situated in Hospital Kuala Lumpur formerly known as Hospital Besar Kuala Lumpur. (I dont know why they erase the 'Besar' from the official name) Actually, I signed up because I was inspired by my Angah and Abang. Angah have signed up as one of the donor and Abang wrote about his wish of becoming one of them. From what I know, in Malaysia there arent many organ donor because lack of information and knowledge and also because of the perception of our people who thinks that 'mayat' should be highly respected.

I know the dead should be taken care of with highly respect but what if by donating our organ we can save a lot of other patient's life? Here's are some of the FAQ which may answer the questions that are blocking us from becoming an organ donor.

1. What is the actual process of organ donation?
Before we begin, it is interesting to note that less than 5% of those who pledge eventually meet the criteria to become organ donors. Organs can be donated only if the potential donor is in the state of
brain death in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting in a hospital, confirmed brain dead and relies on a respirator to breath. Indeed, those who meet all the criteria to be an organ donor are the "Gifted Few" or the "privileged few".
For a patient to be an organ donor, he has to be confirmed brain dead by 2 medical specialists, after which, the option of organ donation is offered to the relatives. Should the relatives understand that the patient has pledged his organs for donation while living, or wishes to provide consent to donate the deceased organs, only then the various transplant teams are informed. Recipients are identified while organs are removed from the deceased.
Note that some transplants such as bone marrow transplants can be taken from living donors through
a relatively simple procedure.
Find out about the donation of the
cornea, bone marrow, skin, and heart valves.

2. Who can be a donor?
Anyone, young and old can sign up to be a donor. Individuals below 18 years of age will need parental/guardian consent.

3. What are the organs & tissues that can be donated?
The commonly transported organs are kidneys, heart, liver, lungs and pancreas while the transplantable tissues are eyes, bone, skin and heart valves. Thus a single donor can save the lives of a number of people.

4. When are the organs & tissues removed?
Only when death has been confirmed by two registered doctors. The doctors involved with certification of death are not involved in the transplant operation at all.

5. Will my hospital treatment be affected if they know that I am a donor?
Absolutely not. The doctors will undertake every known measure to save your life right till the end. Only when they have exhausted all ways and means to
save your lives will the question of organ & tissue donation be discussed with your relatives.

6. Are there any religious objections?
No. All the major religions of the world -- Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and Sikhism endorse organ & tissue donation as the ultimate act of charity and benevolence.
You can find out more about the
various religions' views on organ donation on this site.

7. How are the organs removed?
The process of organ and tissue donation involves a sterile surgical operation undertaken by a skilled team of surgeons. There is no mutilation or disfiguration of the body. The donor is treated with utmost respect and dignity as in any operation. Following removal of the organs and tissues, the surgical wound will be closed just as in any other operation.

8. What if I change my mind later?
Organ donation is voluntary and if at any point you decide against donating your organs and tissues, all you have to do is to inform your family about it and return your donor card.

9. Will the process of organ donation delay the funeral arrangements?
Not at all. Arrangements for funeral can be made as in any case of death. Following the removal of the organs and tissues, the body will be cleaned & draped and returned to the family within the shortest possible time. Removal of organs and tissues does not interfere with the customary funeral or burial including open casket arrangements.

10. How can I become a donor?
Simply complete a donor pledge form and donor card that is attached to it. Forward the form to the National Transplant Resource Center and keep the donor card in your wallet. Remember to INFORM YOUR FAMILY of your wish to be an organ and tissue donor after your death. This will relieve them of the difficult task of making a decision following your death. Besides that, they would be able to ensure that your wishes are kept.

Read about the following religions' stances on organ donation:
Buddhism Christianity Hinduism Islam Sikhism

In Surah Al-Maidah, verse 32, Allah says:
"If anyone saves a life, it will be as if he saves the life of all mankind."

I didnt thought that her friends would be so nice organizing a suprise party for her. Sooo nice of them. But sadly the makcik who sells a delicious cendol didnt allow them to held the makan-makan there. SOMBONG!! Even when Atin, Abang and his friend were playing Uno there one day, the makcik tend to halau them away. Come on lar... They pay to eat there ok?
Anyway, Atin and her friends decided to go back to our house and held the party there. Kecoh!! Hahaha... One whole class came to celebrate her birthday there. Before that, Angah and me went to searched for the boys who were lost searching their way to our houseand ended up playing CS at one of the Internet Cafe. Hahaha.... Kesian.... Nasib bailk sempat makan cake.
